What I Do

Cartridge Pin Alignment & Cleaning

The original 72-pin connector can become loose, dirty, and misaligned after decades of use.

I carefully clean and realign the connector pins to improve contact between the NES and your game cartridges.

The goal is to get your NES loading games without having to push the cartridge down or repeatedly reseat it.

🚫 Disable the NES Lockout Chip

I disable the NES’s 10NES lockout chip, eliminating the console’s built-in lockout behavior that can cause the familiar blinking screen when the system fails to properly recognize a cartridge.

🎮 No More Blowing on Cartridges

Your NES shouldn’t require you to blow on a game cartridge every time you want to play.

A properly serviced cartridge connector provides much more reliable contact with your games and can greatly reduce the need for repeated cleaning, reseating, and cartridge tricks.

4. I test the console

I test the system with NES cartridges to make sure it is loading games properly.

5. I mail your NES back

Return shipping is already included in the repair price.
